TVC: Design, Animation, Compositing

Brilliant Films’ director Simon Bookallil approached Post Modern to add some design zing to this TVC for Portman’s spring range, featuring the lovely Miranda Kerr interacting with large pieces of typography. I provided styleframes for the pitch, and then provided design and 2D text animation, directed 3D text animation, and composited shots for the final TVC. Some “3D” elements were created using invigorator in After Effects with faked reflections and shadows, though no one realised that at the time… while other shots did use “real” 3D type from Maya.
